Clindamycin Capsule contains Clindamycin which belongs to the class of antibiotics known as Lincomycin antibiotics.

Dosage and Administration
- In case of serious infections, doctors recommend taking one capsule (150-300mg_ every 6 hours. In case of more severe infections, 300-450mg capsule every 6 hours is recommended.
- However, for children who can swallow capsules, in case of serious infections, doctors recommend taking 8-16 mg per kilogram (mg/kg) per day which is divided into 3-4 equal doses. Moreover, in case of more severe infections, doctors recommend taking 16-20 mg/kg per day which is divided into 3-4 equal doses.
- You can take the capsule or liquid form with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider it taking after food.
- Avoid crushing or chewing the capsule; instead, swallow it whole along with some water.
- If you miss a dose of Clindamycin Capsule, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

- Pseudomembranous or Ulcerative Colitis
People who have ulcerative colitis or pseudomembranous should not use Clindamycin. These conditions cause severe inflammation of the lining of the intestine.
Drug Interactions
