Medicinal Forms
Dosage and Administration
- For adults 12 aged children and over, doctors recommend taking one tablet every four to six hours depending on the allergy being treated.
- However, for children (6-12 age), doctors prescribe taking half a tablet every 4-6 hours.
- For children under the age of 6 years, Piriton tablet is not recommended. Piriton syrup should be used for children under 6 years of age.
- You can take the tablet or liquid form with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider it taking after food.
- Measure the Syrup with a measuring spoon, cup, or dropper before taking it.
- If you miss a dose of Piriton Syrup, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

- Allergic to Piriton Syrup
If you’re allergic to Piriton Syrup or any other drug like Piriton Syrup, then do not take it. It can lead to a life-threatening condition called anaphylactic shock. It is better to inform your doctor about any allergies you may have.
Patients who have any history of coronary artery bypass graft, stomach ulcers, or myocardial infarction, and who are allergic to NSAIDs/ misoprostol should not use this medication.
If you are taking a Piriton Syrup, then avoid drinking alcohol.
As the medicine can cause dizziness; therefore, driving is not recommended when you’re on the drug.
Older people are not recommended to use this medicine unless advised by the doctor.
Drug Interactions
