Citralka Syrup contains Disodium Hydrogen Citrate which belongs to the class of organic acids. It is also a derivative of citric acid.
Citralka Syrup Uses
Kidney stones are hard deposits of minerals that cause blockage or irritation along with pain. Apart from that, other urinary tract infections are also painful if left untreated. Therefore, to treat the symptoms of UTIs and kidney stones, Citralka syrup is mainly prescribed.
Citralka Syrup contains Disodium Hydrogen Citrate which works by removing excess uric acid from the blood via urine. Disodium Hydrogen Citrate also aids in maintaining the pH of the urine which eliminates kidney stones and gout crystals. It is also used to treat painful and difficult urination.

Medicinal Forms
Dosage and Administration
- Doctors recommend taking two tablespoons (30 ml) 4 times a day for adults.
- However, for children (6-12 years of age), doctors may prescribe an oral solution of two to three teaspoons (10-15 ml) 3-4 times a day.
- Take the syrup exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not change the quantity of the syrup. Moreover, drink plenty of water with this medicine.
- You should take the syrup after a meal to avoid any stomach-related issues.
- Shake the bottle well before use. Use a measuring spoon, cup, or dropper to measure the correct quantity of the syrup for intake.
- If you miss a dose of Citralka Syrup, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.
