Rivaroxaban belongs to the class of medications known as anticoagulants (Factor Xa Inhibitors). Rivaroxaban is a Factor Xa inhibitor (anticoagulant) that is used to prevent blood clotting and treat various blood clotting-related issues. It also works by inhibiting a clotting factor known as factor Xa from working. This causes blood thinning.
