Canesten Cream is an antifungal cream used to treat fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, jock itch, nappy rash, etc.

Canesten Cream contains Clotrimazole which belongs to the class of antifungal agents known as imidazoles. 

Canesten Cream Uses

Fungal infections can happen to anyone at any time. Therefore, to reduce and treat the symptoms of fungal infections, Canesten cream is usually prescribed.

It contains Clotrimazole (an antifungal agent) which works by preventing the growth of fungus and fights the cause of fungal infection on the skin. 

It also relieves the symptoms of skin infections such as irritation, itching, swelling, etc.

Dosage and Administration

• Doctors recommend using cream 2-3 times a day for 2-4 weeks to treat the root of the infection.
• Clean the affected area of the skin.
• Apply a thin layer of cream and rub it gently.
• The dosage and length of the treatment depend on the infection being treated.
• If you’re taking nutritional supplements, vitamins, and herbal products, then it is better to tell your doctor before using Canesten cream.  
• If you miss a dose of Canesten Cream, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
• Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

• Astemizole and Terfenadine
• Rifampin

Overdose of Canesten Cream

Some of the symptoms of an overdose of Canesten Cream are:
