Dosage and Administration

- Allergic to Caricef Capsule
If you’re allergic to Caricef Capsule or any other drug like Caricef Capsule, then do not take it. It can lead to a life-threatening condition called anaphylactic shock.
Anaphylactic shock is a rare but very severe allergic reaction and can lead to death if not treated at the right time. Its signs and symptoms are pale skin, itching, labored breathing, hives, a weak and rapid pulse, runny nose, nausea, excessive salivation, swollen tongue and lips, dizziness, tingling feet, mouth, hands, or scalp, vomiting, sneezing, etc.
It is better to inform your doctor about any allergies you may have.
Caricef Capsule should be taken if the bacteria are sensitive to it. If not, then it can cause antibiotic resistance. Therefore, the next time you take Caricef Capsule, it will become difficult to treat the infections.
If you have a history or any medical condition (renal impairment) related to seizures, you shouldn’t take Caricef Capsule because it can provoke seizures.
- Anticoagulants/ Bleeding Disorders
If you have any bleeding disorder or you’re taking any anticoagulants for thinning of the blood, then take cefixime on the advice of the doctor only.
If you have gastric ulcers or acidity issues, you should take Cefixime with great caution. As Cefixime affects the gastrointestinal tract, it can lead to ulceration in the stomach lining. The doctor or pharmacist may prescribe a gastroprotective agent with it.
Drug Interactions
