Cougar Tablet contains Rosuvastatin which belongs to the class known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins).
Cougar Tablet Uses
Cougar tablet helps in lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and raises high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels.
It is used along with a healthy diet and proper exercise to reduce the bad cholesterol levels and increase the good cholesterol levels in the blood.

Medicinal Forms
Dosage and Administration
- Doctors recommend taking 5-40 mg daily at night. However, the starting dosage is 10-20 mg at night for adults.
- However, for children (8 to <10 years), doctors may prescribe 5-10 mg per day. For children (10-17 years), doctors recommend 5-20 mg per day.
- You can take the tablet or liquid form with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider it taking after food.
- For adults, the maximum dosage of Cougar tablets is 40 mg per day. Whereas, for children, the maximum dosage is 20 mg per day.
- Cougar tablets can be taken with or without food at night.
- Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet; instead, swallow it whole along with some water.
- If you miss a dose of Cougar Tablet, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

Some of the symptoms of an overdose of Cougar Tablet are:
