Medicinal Forms
Dosage and Administration
- For yeast infection of nails and skin, doctors prescribe one diflucan 150 mg once a day for 2 weeks.
- For yeast infection of the genitals, doctors prescribe one diflucan 150 mg once a day for 7 days.
- For the prevention of fungal infections in people who are at high risk, the doctors prescribe taking 1 capsule (150 mg) once a week.
- However, for children, follow the dosage instructions given by the doctor.
- For Diflucan 50mg capsules, consult the doctor for exact dosage.
- You can take the capsule with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider it taking after food.
- Avoid crushing or chewing the capsule; instead, swallow it whole along with some water.
- If you miss a dose of Diflucan, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.
