Laxoberon contains Sodium Picosulfate which belongs to the class of drugs known as stimulant laxatives.
Laxoberon Tablet Uses
Constipation can happen to anyone at any time. Therefore, to relieve constipation and its symptoms and promote normal bowel movements, a Laxoberon tablet is prescribed.
The Laxoberon tablet contains 5mg of the active ingredient i.e., Sodium Picosulfate. It is a stimulant laxative that works by speeding up bowel movements by stimulating the nerves that control the muscles lining the digestive tract.
Laxoberon tablet is a commonly prescribed medicine by general practitioners in Pakistan. The duration and dosage of the Laxoberon tablet are determined by the response of the patient’s body. Therefore, different dosages are recommended for kids, adults, and elderly people.

Dosage and Administration
- Doctors recommend taking 2-3 tablets per day for 5 days depending on the severity of the condition.
- However, for children (7-15 years of age), doctors may prescribe taking 2 tablets per day.
- You can take the tablet or liquid form with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider taking it after food.
- It is recommended to take the Laxoberon tablet before going to bed.
- Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet; swallow it whole with some water.
- If you miss a dose of Laxoberon, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

Anaphylactic shock is a rare but very severe allergic reaction and can lead to death if not treated at the right time. Its signs and symptoms are pale skin, itching, labored breathing, hives, a weak and rapid pulse, runny nose, nausea, excessive salivation, swollen tongue and lips, dizziness, tingling feet, mouth, hands, or scalp, vomiting, sneezing, etc.

If you’re taking Laxoberon, then you should avoid driving or operating any machinery.
If you’re using Laxoberon, then you should avoid drinking alcohol.
Drug Interactions
When you take more than two drugs together, they can cause a reaction in the body. Sometimes the reaction is not obvious. But sometimes, it can cause adverse reactions. Therefore, it is better to consult your doctor before taking any other medicines along with Laxoberon.
It is a stimulant laxative and may interact with the following drugs:
- Aspirin
- Amikacin
- Cefadroxil
- Furosemide
- Amoxicillin
- Doxycycline
- Prednisolone
- Azithromycin

Overdose of Laxoberon
Some of the symptoms of an overdose of Laxoberon are:
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal Pain
- Imbalance of Salts in the Body (Including Low Potassium)
- Secondary Hyperaldosteronism
- Kidney Stones
In case of an overdose, it is advised to talk to your doctor immediately.

- Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight, and moisture
- Keep it away from children and pets
- Do not use the medicine once it has passed its expiration date
