Brufen Syrup contains Ibuprofen which belongs to the class known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Dosage and Administration
- For children older than 12 years and adults, doctors recommend taking 20 ml after every 4 hours when needed.
- However, for children, the daily dosage is 20-30mg/kg of body weight in divided doses.
- For newborns and children who are less than 7 kgs, Burfen syrup intake is not recommended.
- You can take the tablet or liquid form with or without a meal. But if you face any stomach-related effects, then consider it taking after food.
- Measure the quantity of syrup using measuring spoons, cups, or droppers.
- If you miss a dose of Brufen Syrup, then take the dose as early as possible. But if it is almost the time of the next dose, then skip the previous one and take the next one. And follow the regular dosing schedule.
- Follow the dosing instructions as advised by your doctor.

There are no serious side effects after taking Brufen Syrup. But some of the commonly occurring effects are as follows:

People of age 40 years who use brufen have Gastrointestinal bleeding. Therefore, it is not recommended to use brufen if you’re of age 40 years without the doctor's advice.

- Drugs Used To Lower Cholesterol Levels (Cholestyramine)
- Sulphonylureas (Glibenclamide)
- Anti-Fungal Drugs (Voriconazole, Fluconazole)
- Herbal Medicine (Gingko Biloba)
- Angiotensin-Ii Receptors’ Antagonists (Losartan)
- Diuretics Also Known As Water Tablets (Furosemide)
- Cardiac Glycosides (Digoxin)
- Anti-Manic Agents (Lithium)
- Anti-Viral Drugs (Zidovudine)
- Steroids
- Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (Citalopram, Dapoxetine, Paroxetine, Escitalopram, Fluvoxamine, Sertraline, Fluoxetine, Vortioxetine)

Overdose of Brufen Syrup
